“The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a teen died in a crash near Hardin Valley Road in Knox County on Friday.
According to a THP preliminary report, a 16-year-old, who was not identified, was driving a 2015 Acura northbound on Ball Camp Byington Road and tried to pass another car.
At the intersection to go straight onto Hardin Valley Road, THP said the car veered off the right side of the roadway and hit a traffic signal post before coming to rest on the right edge of the road.
THP said the teen, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was fatally injured.
The teen was the only person in the car when the crash happened.”
No seat belt, and most likely was not driving like she should have. Not much I can say about this one other than she was not properly trained in vehicle and road safety. This tragedy is nobody’s fault but her own. Thank God she didn’t have someone else in the car, or hit anyone else.
