Two people were seriously injured in a crash on Mine Road in Knox County, according to Rural Metro Fire.

The department said on Monday morning around 10:15, two cars hit head-on, sending two people to the hospital.

At this time, the identities of those involved and any pending charges have not been announced.

Rural Metro did include a reminder for drivers to slow down, especially on smaller, rural roads.

This seems like either a distraction caused by the hand-held. It might also be a distraction from reaching for something, instead of stopping to take care of business.

Since there is no real info, it could have been a vehicle failure as well. I hate to assume the worst in people and say that their bad drivers. But I do see way too many people on their phones every single day! People who are old enough to be my parents!

I just know that this generation is not being taught how to drive properly. They get a permit because they know how to read and remember questions. then they get a drivers license for take 5 minute driving test!

I wish people would take driving seriously and seek proper training. Mom and dad can’t teach you how to drive proper if they don’t drive proper themselves!

I hope everyone is okay!
